Plant Care – Ardisia gigantifolia
Light: Place your Ardisia gigantifolia under bright and filtered sunlight, and do avoid direct sunlight as it will scorch its leaves and dry up. Place your plant near a window and make sure it receives filtered sunlight.
Water: Allow the top surface of the soil to dry up between watering the plant. We recommend watering it once a week or whenever necessary. Overwatering your Ardisia can cause water beds, and this will result in root problems. Above all, pair your plant with a well-draining potting mix to avoid soggy soil and root rot.
Soil: The Ardisia thrives in a well-draining potting mix.
Fertiliser: Feed your plant with a slow-release Fertiliser once a month.
Humidity Requirement: Medium.
Fun Facts about the Ardisia genus: Did you know? The Ardisia is a genus of over 700 species of flowering plants in the family Primulaceae. A species, Ardisia japonica, is one of the many fundamental herbs used in Chinese folk medicine.
