Plant Care – Asplenium Nidus ‘Bird’s Nest Fern’
Light: Place your Asplenium Nidus ‘Bird’s Nest Fern’ where it can receive moderately bright and indirect sunlight. Do avoid placing it under direct sunlight as it will scorch its foliage! Putting it in the shade will also deteriorate the plant’s health.
Water: Allow the top surface of the soil to dry up between watering the plant. Overwatering your Asplenium can cause water beds, and this will result in root problems. Above all, pair your plant with a well-draining potting mix to avoid soggy soil and root rot. Do not water from the top as its foliage may be vulnerable to bacteria growth.
Soil: The Asplenium will thrive in a well-draining potting mix with a mixture of peat moss for acidity.
Fertiliser: Fertilise with a balanced Fertiliser at half strength every month.
Humidity Requirement: Medium
