Plant Care – Caladium White Queen
Light: The Caladium thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch its delicate foliage.
Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Water thoroughly and ensure that water drains through the drainage holes found at the bottom of the pot.
Soil: Caladium prefers well-draining, peat-based soil to ensure proper aeration and moisture retention.
Fertiliser: Feed your Caladium with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce fertilisation in the dormant period (autumn and winter).
Humidity: Maintain moderate to high humidity levels to keep your Caladium thriving. Regular misting or using a humidity tray can be beneficial.
Fun Fact about the Caladium White Queen: Did you know? The Caladium White Queen is native to South America and is often referred to as the “Angel Wings” plant due to its stunning, ethereal appearance.
