Plant Care – Cryptanthus bivittatus
Light: Place your Cryptanthus bivittatus where it can receive bright and indirect sunlight. They grow under canopies where they receive shade. Overexposure to direct sunlight will damage its foliage and overall plant health.
Water: Allow the top surface of the soil to dry up between watering the plant. Overwatering your Cryptanthus can cause water beds, and this will result in root problems. Above all, pair your plant with a well-draining potting mix to avoid soggy soil and root rot.
Soil: The Cryptanthus will thrive in a well-draining potting mix with a mixture of peat moss for acidity.
Fertiliser: Fertilise with a balanced Fertiliser at half strength every three weeks.
Humidity Requirement: Medium
