Plant Care – Ctenanthe Setosa Grey Star
Light: Place your Ctenanthe Setosa Grey Star under bright, filtered sunlight and do avoid direct sunlight as it will cause its leave to scorch and dry up. High temperature can also cause its leaves to turn brown, thus we advise placing your Ctenanthe somewhere with good ventilation and airflow.
Water: Allow the top surface of the soil to dry up between watering the plant. We recommend watering it once a week. The Ctenanthe enjoys higher humidity levels, so when the weather gets hot, give it the occasional water mist it deserves.
Soil: The Ctenanthe thrives in a well-draining potting mix.
Fertiliser: Feed your plant with a houseplant Fertiliser at half strength once every two weeks during its growing season.
Humidity Requirement: Medium to High
Fun Facts about the Ctenanthe genus: Did you know? The Ctenanthe is a genus of flowering plants from the Marantaceae Family and comes from Central and South America. They are popularly grown indoors for their unique multicoloured foliage. In the wilderness, Ctenanthe grows on the floor of rainforests where the environment is humid and not much direct sun shines through. In other words, when they are grown indoors, a similar setting is needed for them to do well.
