Plant Care – Ficus carica ‘Little Miss Figgy’
Light: The Ficus carica ‘Little Miss Figgy’ is best grown in containers in full sun.
Water: Allow the top surface of the soil to dry up between watering the plant. We recommend Medium/average watering for this fig.
Once established, it is tolerant to drought.
Soil: The fig thrives in dry & light soils. It can tolerate all soil types and different Ph levels. You may mix our succulent mix and some vege mixes in a 1:1 ratio found in our soil media section. Do call or WhatsApp us if you need recommendations.
Fertiliser: Lightly fertilise your plant with organic compost or other fertilisers once a month.
Humidity Requirement: Medium
Planting Instruction during repotting
• Water before planting
• Plant in full sun to part shade
• Dig hole 2X the width of pot
• Plant 1-2″ above ground soil level, backfill hole with soil
• Water deeply to settle, then add more soil if needed
• Mulch 1-2″ deep around plant, avoiding area closest to stem
Fun Facts about the Ficus genus: A species native to southwest Asia and the Mediterranean, the ficus genus contains over 800 species. Ficus are famed for bearing fig-like substances (which is why many species are simply called fig trees) and other bush foods important to their habitats.
