GreenSpade Perlite
GreenSpade Perlite is a lightweight, natural volcanic rock that has been expanded through high-temperature heating to create a porous, airy structure. This premium soil amendment is designed to enhance soil aeration, drainage, and moisture retention while preventing compaction. By incorporating perlite into your soil mix, you create an optimal growing environment where plant roots can breathe, absorb nutrients efficiently, and thrive in a well-balanced medium. Unlike other soil additives, perlite does not break down over time, making it a long-lasting solution for improving soil structure.
How to use:
GreenSpade Perlite can be used in various ways, depending on your gardening needs. To improve aeration and drainage in potting mixes, blend perlite with soil at a 1:3 ratio or adjust based on your plant’s requirements. For seed starting, mix it with peat moss or coco peat to create a light and well-draining propagation medium. If you are growing plants hydroponically, perlite can be used as a standalone growing medium. Additionally, a layer of perlite on top of the soil helps prevent soil crusting and reduces moisture loss.

GreenSpade Perlite is particularly beneficial for plants that require excellent drainage and aeration, such as succulents, cacti, orchids, bonsai, and epiphytes. It is also highly recommended for vegetable gardens, herb planters, and indoor houseplants that are prone to root rot in waterlogged soil. Additionally, perlite is commonly used in seed-starting mixes and hydroponic systems to provide a stable and well-ventilated root environment.
