Plant Care – Ivy Plant
Light: Place your Ivy Plant where it can receive bright and indirect sunlight. Do avoid placing it under direct sunlight as it will scorch its foliage! Putting it in the shade will lead to leggy stems and an overall unhealthy plant.
Water: Allow the top surface of the soil to dry up between watering the plant. We recommend watering it once a week or whenever necessary. Overwatering your Ivy plant can cause water beds, and this will result in root problems.
Soil: The Ivy plant will thrive in a well-draining potting mix.
Fertiliser: Fertilising your plant with a fertiliser with an NPK ratio of 20:20:20 once every two to three weeks.
Humidity Requirement: Medium. If the environment is dry, give it the occasional mist.
Fun Facts about the Hedera genus: Did you know? The Hedera is a small genus consisting of 12 – 15 species of evergreen climbing or ground-creeping woody plants in the Araliaceae family. The English ivy contains glycosides that may cause vomiting, diarrhoea, neurologic conditions, or dermatitis; refrain from ingesting.
