Plant Care – Nepenthes Spp.
Light: Place your Nepenthes Spp. under bright and indirect sunlight. Store in lower light if leaves yellow or turn brown. We recommend hanging it on a balcony with some shade.
Water: Allow the top two inches of the soil to dry up inbetween watering the plant. Water moderately to keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Try to use distilled water or rainwater as Nepenthes is sensitive to chemicals present in tap water.
Soil: The Nepenthes will thrive in a well-draining potting mix that can retain moisture, preferably a mixture of perlite and peat moss.
Fertiliser: Generally do not need to be fertilised, but light misting of dilute liquid epiphyte Fertiliser is allowed.
Humidity Requirement: Medium to High
Fun Facts about the Nepenthes genus: Did you know? There are over 120 species in the Nepenthaceae family, with almost 1 – 2 new species described each year! Many hybrids occur not only naturally but human-created!
