Plant Care – Olea europaea Olive Tree
Light: Place your Olea europaea Olive Tree outdoors where it can receive bright and full sun for at least 6 hours a day. It can tolerate shade; however, it is not ideal for proper growth and will not live long.
Water: Water your Olive Tree sparingly during its growing season, and be sure not to overwater them; they are relatively drought tolerant. The plant loves the dry air, and thus, misting will not be necessary.
Soil: The Olive Tree thrives in well-aerated soil that drains water quickly, similar to a cactus mix. A well-draining potting mix will prevent water from accumulating in the soil and prevent root problems, for instance, root rot.
Fertiliser: Fertilise with an organic, water-soluble fertiliser. Alternatively, you can use a slow-release fertiliser.
Humidity Requirement: Low
