Plant Care – Pachira
Light: Pachira thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate some shade. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, as it may scorch the leaves.
Water: Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch, allowing excess water to drain away. Avoid overwatering, as it can lead to root rot.
Soil: Plant Pachira in a well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter. A mixture of peat moss, perlite, and compost works well.
Fertiliser: Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce fertiliser frequency in autumn and winter.
Humidity: Pachira prefers moderate to high humidity levels. Mist the leaves regularly or place the pot on a pebble tray filled with water to increase humidity.
Fun Fact about Pachira: Did you know? In many cultures, Pachira is considered a symbol of good fortune and prosperity, often placed in homes and businesses to attract wealth and success.
