Plant Care – Philodendron Sunrise
Light: The Philodendron Sunrise prefers bright, indirect sunlight. It can tolerate some shade, but for the best leaf coloration, provide it with filtered light or dappled sunlight.
Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch of the soil to dry out before watering again. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so ensure proper drainage.
Soil: The Philodendron thrives in well-draining, loose, and nutrient-rich soil. We recommend using SILLYSOIL Premium Aroid Mix.
Fertiliser: Feed the Philodendron every 4 to 6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertiliser. Avoid fertilising in the winter months.
Humidity: This plant loves high humidity. To enhance humidity levels, mist the leaves regularly or place a humidifier nearby. It will appreciate a humidity level of around 60% or higher.
Fun Fact about Philodendron Sunrise: Did you know? The vibrant leaf colors of the Philodendron Sunrise are influenced by its exposure to light. The more light it receives, the more intense and vivid the colors of its leaves become. This plant’s foliage can showcase a beautiful combination of bright pinks, oranges, and reds, creating a stunning sunrise-like appearance, hence the name “Sunrise.” With its striking looks and relatively easy care requirements, the Philodendron Sunrise adds a touch of tropical elegance to any indoor space.
