Plant Care – Sansevieria Masoniana ‘Whalefin’
Light: Place your Sansevieria Masoniana ‘Whalefin’ at a location where it can receive bright and indirect sunlight. The plant can tolerate lower light conditions. However, low light will slow down your plant’s growth rate.
Water: Water your plant thoroughly and ensure the soil is evenly moist. Water your plant whenever the top inch of the soil is dry to the touch. And make sure to water till some water flows through the pot’s drainage holes. Sansevieria are not needy when it comes to water; it is better to underwater them.
Soil: It thrives in well-draining soil that can retain some moisture. Use a gritty potting mix such as a cactus mix. You can also make your very own gritty mix for Sansevierias! Mix 1 part soil/ peat moss with 1 part perlite and 1 part pumice.
Fertiliser: Fertilise with a slow-release granular fertiliser. Over-fertilising can also result in the demise of the plant. Always follow the fertiliser manufacturer’s instructions when fertilising your plant.
Humidity Requirement: Medium
