SILLYSOIL Perlite originates from volcanic glass with high water content. Heating it rapidly at 850-900°C expands the material, followed by crushing it into lightweight particles. This structure improves aeration, drainage, and moisture retention, making it ideal for plants. Its sterile and lightweight qualities enhance its versatility across various gardening techniques.
They comes in various porosity levels, grain sizes, and water retention capacities, resulting in a balanced, well-draining mix that maintains optimal moisture for your plant roots. This blend promotes healthy plant respiration.
When should I use SILLYSOIL Perlite?
SILLYSOIL Perlite can be used on its own or combined with other substrates like peat moss, coir, or compost to enhance its benefits. It is also highly recommended for propagation due to its ability to prevent waterlogging and reduce the risk of root rot in cuttings, encouraging healthy plant growth.
