Plant Care – Spathiphyllum chopin
Light: Place your Spathiphyllum chopin under bright, indirect sunlight and do avoid direct sunlight as it will cause its leave to curl and turn pale. Your plant will be able to tolerate lower light settings. However, it might take a while for it to bloom.
Water: Allow the top surface of the soil to dry up between watering the plant. We recommend watering it once a week or whenever necessary. Overwatering your Spathiphyllum can cause water beds, and this will result in root problems. Skip a week of watering if it happens.
Soil: The Spathiphyllum thrives in a well-draining potting mix that can retain some moisture.
Fertiliser: Fertilise your plant with a general slow-release fertiliser. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions when fertilising your plant.
Humidity Requirement: Medium to High. Give your plant the occasional mist as it thrives in higher humidity levels.
Fun Facts about the Spathiphyllum genus: Did you know? Native to the tropical regions of America and Southeast Asia, the Spathiphyllum is a genus of 47 species of monocotyledonous flowering plants in the family Araceae! Depending on species and the right environment, it can bloom twice a year, and each bloom can last for months on end.
