Plant Care – Tillandsia cyanea
Light: Place your Tillandsia cyanea in an area where it can receive bright and indirect sunlight. You can give it some morning Sun but make sure it receives shade during the afternoon. Too much bright and direct sunlight will cause its foliage to scorch and dry up.
Water: Water your Tillandsia thoroughly and make sure that the soil is evenly moist. Water your plant whenever the top inch of the soil is dry to the touch, and make sure to water till some water flows through the pot’s drainage holes. Just like many other plants, Tillandsia does not do well with wet feet. Do not overwater your plant as it may cause root rot.
Soil: Tillandsia thrives in a well-draining potting mix that retains some moisture but does not remain soaked for an extended period.
Fertiliser: Fertilising for Tillandsia is not essential. If you feel the need to fertilise, fertilise them once in spring and summer with a foliar Fertiliser spray.
Humidity Requirement: Medium
