Plant Care – Mandarin Orange
Light: Place your Mandarin Orange plant in locations where it can enjoy bright and direct sunlight. They do well in environments as low as 5°C to 30°C.
Water: The Mandarin Orange enjoys moist soil, so do remember to water whenever the soil is dry to the touch. Leaves pointed upward signify that it doesn’t have enough water. On the other hand, leaves pointed downward means an excess of water. Soil leaching may occur due to the plant’s love for water.
Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix for your Mandarin Orange.
Fertiliser: Fertilise with a 20-10-10 fertiliser. Do fertiliser according to the manufacturer’s direction. If leaves lighten, it is a sign of a lack of fertiliser.
Humidity Requirement: Medium.
Fun Facts about the Mandarin Orange: “Mandarin” is taken from the title of the Chinese imperial court’s counsellors! The bright orange robes and headpieces with buttons they wore resembled the Mandarin Orange.
