Plant Care – Podocarpus Bonsai
Light: Place your Podocarpus Bonsai where it can receive bright and indirect sunlight. We recommend placing it outdoors to get full sun during the morning while receiving some shade during the afternoon.
Water: Allow the top surface of the soil to dry up between watering the plant. In outdoors conditions, we recommend watering your plant once a day. Do not let the soil dry up as the plant will dry up as well.
Soil: The Podocarpus Bonsai will thrive in a well-draining potting mix.
Fertiliser: Fertilise with a liquid fertiliser once every week. Fertilise during your watering schedule to dilute the fertiliser.
Humidity Requirement: Medium
Fun Facts about the Podocarpus genus: Did you know? The Podocarpus is a genus of conifers from the family Podocarpaceae. In the wild, it can grow up to 40 metres! They produce fleshy cones which attract birds, which birds would then eat and disperse its seeds through its droppings.
