Plant Care – Italian Parsley

Light: Italian Parsley prefers bright, indirect sunlight. It thrives with around 4 to 6 hours of sunlight daily but should be protected from intense, direct sunlight.

Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Ensure proper drainage to prevent root rot.

Soil: The soil for Parsley should be well-draining and nutrient-rich. A mixture of loamy soil with organic compost is ideal for supporting its growth.

Fertiliser: Parsley benefits from occasional feeding. You can use a balanced liquid fertiliser every 4 to 6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) to promote healthy foliage.

Humidity: Parsley can tolerate normal room humidity levels. There is no need for additional humidity considerations.

Fun Fact about Italian Parsley: Did you know? Italian Parsley is not just a delightful culinary herb but also has a long history of use as a natural breath freshener. In ancient times, it was often used to freshen breath after meals or disguise strong odours. Additionally, Italian Parsley is a biennial plant, which means it completes its life cycle in two years, flowering and producing seeds in its second year of growth.
